Since sixth Grade, Ashton Price and best friend and also the girl Ashton is crushing on, Ivy Santos, have gone to theater camp in the summer--but this is the last summer before high school, meaning they will part ways. Ash, determined to make this summer magical, becomes stage manager, and Ivy gets the lead in this year's musical performance, and vows to ask Ivy out--but as Ivy practices and rehearses hours at a time with her co-lead, and as Ash's production goals become more and more ambitious, it is less and less sure they will even spend any time together this summer at all.
