Ms. Picklepop is ready to teach the reader all about proper manners, but a giant blob of paint named Blurp keeps getting in the way. She tries to teach the etiquette for introducing oneself, making pleasant conversation, and sitting down for afternoon tea, but Blurp ruins everything. Ms. Picklepop yells at him, but when she explains how to be considerate of others, she realizes she wasn't very kind to Blurp. She apologizes to him, and the two start over.
