Young Prince Alto has grown up listening to the legends of his mother, the Lady Brightblade, as a brave hero, and he dreams of the day he can be one too even though their kingdom is at peace. Longing for adventure, Alto runs away from the palace and soon encounters a rogue troll and a carpenter's apprentice.
