Cass McKay has landed the role of Kate in "The Taming of the Shrew" for her summer apprentice program with a renowned Vermont Shakespeare theater company. The problem is that Drew, a complete troll of a boy, is her leading man, and her bunkmate, Amy, has fallen for him. Not willing to let Amy throw herself at such a jerk, Cass decides to give Drew a personality makeover so he is worthy of her. However, Shakespeare's play plays itself out offstage as her plan backfires.
