Seventeen-year-old Natalie Stewart becomes obsessed with a painting of handsome British Lord Denbury in New York City in 1882, even though she has the disquieting feeling that details of the work keep changing, while Denbury, his soul trapped by dark magic in the painting, tries to lure Natalie to join him and free him from his curse.
