The lives of three families, Jewish Holocaust survivors Joseph and Ester Gale, Palestinian refugees George and Mary Antoun, and former S.S. officer Friedrich Kleist and his wife Eva, become irrevocably entwined when their children, not hindered by the hatreds formed in World War II, meet and fall in love.
