Ingenious

author: Fagone, Jason
Examines the stories of four teams working to win the X Prize Foundation's 2007 challenge of building a car that could go one hundred miles on only a gallon of gas, or of a gallon's energy equivalent in electric or alternative fuels. Explores the trials and failures of each of the four teams as well as the relative success of their finished products, which often looked nothing like cars at all, and yet worked.
