Tech Camp 2019 August 21 @ 8:30 am

Registration is now open for our annual Rochester Librarian Tech Camp. This FREE event is open to all School, Public, Academic, and Special Librarians! It will be held August 21 at Monroe 2 BOCES Educational Services Center (ESC), 3599 Big Ridge Road, Spencerport.

Tech Camp will feature various workshop sessions on trends and instructional practices for librarians and will also feature a vendor fair.

Keynote: Chris Sperry, Project Look Sharp, “Analysis, Reason and Reflection: Teaching Students to Think in a Media-Saturated World”

Keynote Presenter Bio:

Chris Sperry is the Director of Curriculum and Staff Development for Project Look Sharp at Ithaca College. He has taught middle and high school social studies, English and media studies in Ithaca New York since 1979. He has written extensively on media literacy and is the author of numerous curriculum kits that integrate media analysis into the curriculum. He is the recipient of the 2005 National PTA Award for Media Literacy and the 2008 National Council for the Social Studies Award for Global Understanding.
