Thirteen-year-old Nita, tormented by a gang of bullies because she won't fight back, finds the help she needs in a library book on wizardry which guides her into another dimension.

When her younger sister uses the family computer with its special wizard software to travel to worlds light years away, Nita uses her wizardry to try and find her.

Nita, a teenage wizard, is sent off to Ireland to spend a month with her eccentric aunt, but her parents' plan to separate her from magic go awry when Nita encounters a host of Irish wizards engaged in a battle to save the country from ghosts of the past.
