Twelve-year-old Erec Rex discovers the hard way that doing what is right is not always easy when he delves into the very Substance from which our world is woven to save the baby dragons of Alypium, a magical kingdom he might one day rule.

When twelve-year-old Erec Rex learns that his friend Bethany is in trouble in Alypium, the magical kingdom he is destined to rule, he rushes to try to save her and to find the five Awen in order to protect the Substance.

Fourteen-year-old Erec must overcome many distractions, including his budding romance with Bethany and the discovery that his brother and sister are secretly king and queen of the Fairy world, in order to focus on his next two tasks; meanwhile, the Stain brothers growing more and more underhanded.

Twelve-year-old Erec Rex must meet the terrifying Nightmare King as he struggles to save his best friend Bethany from the evil Baskania.
