Frank Baum's novel Ozma of Oz, in which Dorothy Gale is swept by a storm at sea to the land of Ev, a neighbor to Oz, where she joins forces with a chicken named Billina, the mechanical man Tik-Tok, Ozma of Oz, and other friends to save the royal family of Ev from the Nome King.
